Actually, circular reasoning is rather messed up, but in a way that I rather imagine you would like if you actually dislike logical reasoning. I would have to disagree with Sir Martin Luther, however, on the value of reasoning since the Apostle Peter encouraged us to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. " That is to say we should be able to explain and articulate our faith (presumably on some logical basis) not merely to utter meaningless statements of faith of which we have no comprehension.
